Differential amplifier - A differential amplifier is a type of an electronic amplifier that multiplies the difference between two inputs by some constant factor (the differential gain). A differential amplifier is the input stage of operational amplifiers, or op-amps, and emitter coupled logic gates.
Operational amplifier - An operational amplifier, usually referred to as an 'op-amp' for brevity, is a DC-coupled high-gain electronic voltage amplifier with differential inputs and, usually, a single output. In its ordinary usage, the output of the op-amp is controlled by negative feedback which, because of the amplifier's high gain, almost completely determines the output voltage for any given input.
Charge transfer amplifier - The charge-transfer amplifier (CTA) is an electronic amplifier circuit. Also known as transconveyance amplifiers, CTAs amplify electronic signals by dynamically conveying charge between capacitive nodes in proportion to the size of a differential input voltage.
